There are a few things I try to always do when training someone. The first is get to know them. I have some questions that I like to use as a starting point, and spend much time talking to them from there (and often even before getting to the point of having them answer the questions). I also encourage whoever I train (or talk to about training) to get to know me, and let them know they can always ask questions. Early on in training, I like to push and probe... to see how far the sub is able to go, as well as what her reactions are to various things that I am doing. This is also a very good way to see what happens when she gets close to her limits, or the limits of her comfort. After reaching the limits of her comfort I slow things down and talk, asking her to explain her reactions and feelings to me. I have found that this helps solidify my understanding of her reactions and helps her to get more comfortable with what was done. Throughout training I try to approach ideas and activities in discussion before they are done, to explain my expectations and reasons before imposing a new rule, or to talk about something which might to her be edge play before going there. Again, this is to see her feelings, as well as to make her more comfortable. I also try to solicit her ideas and feelings about things she wants to do, or try at any particular stage. In the ideal world, trainees would be handed to different doms during their training. I would like to have several week long excursions of this nature during a training, each culminating with an exam of the slave-trainee about the person she was serving. There are several ideas behind this, not the least of which is to give exposure to different styles and people. Needless to say, I would have to find and learn to trust several more doms than I currently know that well before this could become a portion of a training program. One of the things I have experimented with, and would like to include in each slave-trainee's training is hypnosis. It can be a very powerful tool in aiding memory as well as in helping to overcome barriers to the fully desired explorations of the slave-trainee. This is one of the things I consider optional in a training, and would never attempt to hypnotize someone who did not specifically ask for it to be part of their training. This page is currently being revised, hopefully I should be close to done in a day or two, please check back later to see if I made it. |
