Why are there no(so few) links on your page?
Because I want my pages to be about actual information, and not leeching
off other peoples information. (Not to mention I hate dead links when I
surf, and I know I can't be proactive enough to check every day for
dead links.)
Why are there no (so few) graphics on your page? With
very few exceptions (and those are all linked to something) all the
graphics done on my pages are my own, and I'm just not any good,
though this is changing with the aid of some patience and some
wonderful tools like Gimp. Graphics
also take precious downloading bandwidth which not everyone has
bountiful amounts of. This is beginning to change, at least in part as
I finally have more bandwidth myself to serve pages from.
How/when did you get started/interested in BDSM? I first
got interested in the summer of '93 through some stories I was reading
on the internet (specifically in alt.sex.stories, and
alt.sex.bondage). After a few weeks of debating and trying to learn
myself I decided to post an ad on the net (specifically
alt.personals.bondage). The ensuing relationship, while net only,
answered enough questions in myself to make me sure that this was
something I wanted to continue.
Why do I do this? (training) To me, training is
rewarding. I enjoy the teaching aspects of it and being able to help
someone to shape and explore their fantasies. Expanding someone's
views, mindset and skillset is rewarding. Ultimately however, you
learn the most by teaching, and I am an eager and avid learner.
Why do I do this? (BDSM) I've found in myself an
aptitute and desire. It answers fantasies that have been with me for a
long time and lets me BE. To not BE would be a horrible crime against
myself, one that I can not bear to commit.
Why do I do this? (polyamory) I (like most) am a person
with many interests in many different directions, and I like
variety. Having many people in my life is a natural extension of
this. I also feel that a group relationship is an ideal way to raise
children in the world today as working full time out of the house for
both/all parents drains them and they need time to recharge
themselves. In the typical 1 or 2 parent households this time for the
parent inevitably comes at the expense of the child/children. Having
more parents gives the children more attention and love and discipline
and also will leave the parents more time to recharge themselves. This
will result in much more productive time with the children as being
well rested and able to take care of their own needs, the parents can
focus more fully on interacting with the children. There are also financial
considerations as it becomes more cost effective to share fixed expenses
more ways.
Why the name StormCat?
Well, I love cats, and parts of my personality are cat-like. I also
love storms. It also sounds pretty cool.
Where am I located?
I grew up in western NY state, spent a couple years in NC, and am
right now in Brisbane Australia for a couple years (though no
permanent visa yet, so I will be going back to the US eventually).
Do you have any slaves living with you currently? Have you ever
had any slaves living with you? If so, for how long? No. Yes, she
was slave for about 7-8 months, and then slipped to submissive, and
then to gf over the next 4 years. Now, however, I am alone again.
How many cats do you have? What are there names?
I wish this were a yes. When I moved to Australia, I left my cats with
the girl above. Someday I'll have some again.
What do you do for a living?
Computer programming, sort of, mostly.
Do you intend to financially support all your slaves?
No, nor do I intend for them to financially support me.
How do you plan on dealing with the children who may come along? Do you
plan on being open about having slaves in front of the children?
Well, I'm optomistic (and planning) on no children for several more years,
but I do eventually want them. I also plan on being very open with my children
about all aspects of sexuality, religion, politics, and other lifestyle
choices and letting them choose their own path without being afraid of
what society thinks about them for it.
You mention religion several times on your web site; what
religion are you or were you raised as (if any)? This will get
interesting: I was raised in some branch of Christianity that I can't
remember how to spell. I just can't make the leap of faith to believe
in either a God((dess(e))(s)) or the Big Bang. What I have come to
realize (though not fully yet believe) is that percieving reality
alters it. Whatever your beliefs, they shape reality. I won't go into
too much depth here as I haven't learned yet to use that knowledge to
fly. Have recently read some excellent books, and will update this as
I grok fullness.
